Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing And Installing: Removing

- The transmission is secured to the engine and transmission holder. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
-- Remove the left flange shaft. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL .
-- Attach the :T40176 to the dual mass flywheel -A- with the nut -B- -arrow-.
-- Turn the :T40176 upward.
NOTE:
To prevent the dual mass flywheel from tilting, counterhold it underneath as shown.
-- Remove the dual-mass flywheel from the input shaft -arrow-.
CAUTION:
Danger of causing damage to the transfer plate on the dual mass flywheel.
- Do not lay the dual mass flywheel on one side on the transfer plate -arrow-.
- This could bend the transfer plate -arrow-, which will then cause malfunctions.
-- Set the dual mass flywheel down carefully on the workbench, for example.
