Disc Set I And II, Removing And Installing: Removing

Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Secure the transmission on the engine and transmission holder. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
-- Remove the hydraulic control unit. Refer to HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Improper handling may damage the sealing seats on the disc sets.
- Do not pry out the sensor rings.
- Only remove with the described tool.
-- Remove sender wheel "I" using the :T40132 and :T10055 .
-- Remove sender wheel "II" using the :T40132 and :T10055 .
-- Remove the circlips -arrows-.
-- Push the gearshift shaft toward the clutch side in direction of -arrow A- and secure with cable ties -arrow B-.
-- Remove the oil pipe -arrow-.
-- Remove the intermediate housing bolts -arrow-.
-- Place the :T40387/1-3 on bearing "G" for disc set "II".
-- Tighten the :T40387/1-1 on the intermediate housing with bolts -arrows- to 20 Nm.
-- Remove the intermediate housing with the :T40387/1-2 from bearing "G".
-- Remove the intermediate housing, remove the puller and remove with the :T40387/1-3 .
-- Remove the intermediate housing seal -2-.
-- Remove the oil guide piece "I" -1- ; to do so, carefully remove the retaining pins -arrows-.
-- Remove the oil guide piece "II" -1- upward while paying attention to the connecting piece -arrow-.
-- Insert the :T40387/2 all the way into disc set "II" and connect to the :VAS6213 .
-- Build up a vacuum with the hand pump.
- The disc set "II" opens, and the tension on the chain releases.
There is a risk of injury due to the disc set closing automatically.
- The possibility for parts of the body to be pinched or crushed increases.
- Lock the disc set immediately.
-- Place the :T40387/3 on the disc set axle "II" and check that it is securely locked.
- The locking mechanism for the disc set remains inserted during the entire assembly procedure.
-- Reduce the vacuum, and remove the :VAS6213 with the :T40387/2 .
-- Unclip the guide rail -2- from the oil pipe -1-.
The heavy weight of the disc sets increases the risk of an accident.
- Use a second technician for the following procedures.
-- Remove disc set "I" -3- together with disc set "II" -2- upward and place on a soft surface.
-- If necessary, remove the chain -1-.
