Alignment Of Lining Plates:
- The lining plates must be installed with the same alignment, thus the places without outside teeth -arrows- must always lie on top of each other. Only in this way is the adjustment correct; mark the input shaft cylinder for correct installation, if necessary.
-- Lastly, insert the new upper shim -5- with the same thickness as the old shim in the input shaft.
For the following measurements, all tool and component surfaces must be completely clean in order to obtain exact values.
-- Place the four :T40101 on the upper shim.
-- Lay a Ruler :T40100 centered over every two Calipers :T40101 .
-- Measure the shim with the :VAS6087 and note the measurement -A-.
- The :VAS6087 must lie flush on both rulers :T40100 when measuring.
-- Measure now with the :VAS6087 to the contact ring on the shaft (press plate contact surface) and note the measurement -B-.
-- Subtract both measurements "B - A" to obtain the clutch distance -K-.
Clutch distance calculation -K- : "B - A = K"
The corrugated spring washer -1- is installed under the clutch plate pack to perform measurements.
-- Repeat the measurement on opposite side of the input shaft and also determine the clutch distance -K-.
-- Offset the four calipers :T40101 and two rulers :T40100 by 90° on the input shaft and repeat measurements.
-- Using the four calculated values for the clutch distance -K-, calculate the average MK .
Average: "(value 1 + value 2 + value 3 + value 4) : 4 = MK "
