Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, checking

Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051. Refer to Vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051, connecting and select functions and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Engine should be idling.

NOTE: If the engine will not start, crank it for at least 5 seconds with the starter and leave the ignition on.

Under -1- select diagnostic function "02 - check DTC memory".

A - If malfunctions were recognized:

Print out screen content or On Board Diagnostic (OBD) report.
Exit function "02 - check DTC memory" by pressing ← button.

Display on VAS5051:

Repair DTC(s) as specified in DTC table. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) table .
Reselect diagnostic function "02 - Check DTC memory" and erase the DTC memory. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, erasing .
Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Refer to Ending output .

B - If no malfunction was recognized:

Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Refer to Ending output .
