Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing And Installing: Removing:

NOTE:

Place a cloth under the engine oil cooler to catch any oil dripping out.

The oil pan sealant has strong adhesive properties. Pry off the oil pan slowly and evenly so that it does not bend.

-- Drain the engine oil.

-- Remove the engine oil cooler from the engine and secure it to the side. Refer to ENGINE OIL COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . The coolant hoses can remain attached.

-- Remove the bolts -1 to 3-.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- from the ATF lines.

-- Disconnect the electrical connector -2- on the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266- and free up the electrical wire.

-- Remove the bolts -1- for the lower section of the oil pan.

-- Slowly loosen the oil pan lower section from the bonding. While doing so, do not bend the oil pan lower section.
