Test Sequence

-- Remove fuel pump fastener from fuse holder. Refer to Wiring Diagram.

Voltage supply to fuel pump activation is interrupted when fuse is removed.

-- Place the :T10118 on the locking button -arrow- and carefully pull the connector down.

-- Slide the :T10095A on from the straight connector side in direction of -arrow- and remove the ignition coil with power output stage.

-- Remove the spark plugs using :3122B .

-- Check the compression pressure using the :VAG1763 , :VAG1381/1 and :VAG1381/5A .

NOTE:

-- Let a second technician operate the starter just as long until a pressure increase is no longer indicated on the tester.
