Overview - Heater And A/C Unit

NOTE:

Under certain conditions, the desiccant bag/dryer cartridge no longer needs to be replaced each time the refrigerant circuit is opened on A/C systems with refrigerant R1234yf. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT  .

Under certain conditions, the dryer bag no longer needs to be replaced each time the refrigerant circuit is opened on A/C systems with refrigerant R134a. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .

Perform the following work after the repairs have been completed: Conduct the basic setting using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

  1. Left B-Pillar Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seats .

      -- Remove the left B-pillar trim panel. Refer to Pillar Trim .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the two air guide channel nuts (2 Nm).

  2. Left Footwell Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the air guide channel screw (2 Nm).

  3. Left Air Guide Channel
    • Connection to the B-pillar air guide channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and unclip the air guide channel.

  4. Left B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor -V212-
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Remove the center console. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the screws from the Left B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor -V212-.

  5. Right Rear Upper Body Vent Motor -V316-
  6. Right B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor -V211-
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Remove the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the screws from the Right B-Pillar/Footwell Shut-Off Door Motor -V211-.

  7. Air Guide Channel with B-Pillar Shut-Off Door and Right Footwell
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the 2 nuts (2 Nm) at the air guide channel.

  8. Right Air Guide Channel
    • Connection to the B-pillar air guide channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and unclip the air guide channel.

  9. Right Footwell Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the screw (2 Nm) at the air guide channel.

  10. Right B-Pillar Air Guide Channel
  11. Right Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the bench seat and rear backrest. Refer to REAR SEATS and REAR SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the screw (1.4 Nm) at the air guide channel.

  12. Right B-Pillar Air Guide Channel
  13. B-Pillar Vent, Right
  14. Right Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the bench seat, the backrest and the luggage compartment floor. Refer to REAR SEATS and REAR SEATS .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the three screws (2 Nm) at the air guide channel.

  15. Right Rear Vent Temperature Sensor -G406-
  16. Right Air Guide Channel
  17. Second Heater and A/C Unit
  18. Left Air Guide Channel
  19. Left Rear Vent Temperature Sensor -G405-
  20. Left Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the bench seat, the backrest and the luggage compartment floor. .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove two screws (1.4 Nm) and one nut (2 Nm) at the air guide channel.

  21. Left Air Guide Channel
    • Removal and installation

      -- Remove the bench seat and rear backrest. .

      -- Lift the carpet and remove the screw (1.4 Nm) at the air guide channel.

  22. B-Pillar Vent, Left
  23. Left B-Pillar Air Guide Channel
