-- Connect coolant hose -B- to coolant pipe to heater core -C- (coolant hose -A- is not connected for the time being).

NOTE:

Install The Coolant Hoses.

Coolant hose -A- to the return to the engine (over the hose group under the left fender).

Coolant hose -B- on the supply from the engine (over the hose group under the left fender).

-- Fill the coolant reservoir up to the top mark with coolant. Refer to COOLANT [For engine(s) CGRA] .

-- Cover the area under the heater and A/C unit with absorbent paper to prevent leaking coolant from running onto the heater and A/C unit or floor covering.

-- Place a container under connection -A- on the heater core -C-.

-- Open the :3094  on the coolant hose -B- just enough so that the coolant and flow slowly into the heater core (to pre-bleed the heater core).

NOTE:

If the coolant does not flow into the heater core on its own, use the hand pump from the :VAG1274B  to build up pressure in the reservoir and increase the flow.

-- Wait until coolant exits from coolant hose connection -A- on coolant pipe to heater core.

-- Attach the coolant hose -A- to the coolant pipe on the heater core.

-- Install the removed parts in the opposite order.

-- Bleed the coolant circuit. Refer to COOLANT [For engine(s) CGRA] .
