Condensation Water Drain, Checking

-- Remove the footwell trim panel on the front passenger side. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .
- Condensation water drain hose -1- must be able to be connected to the connection of heating and A/C unit -2- without pre-tension.
- The condensation water hose must not be constricted in its cross section through the insulation mat.
-- Rework the insulation mat, if necessary.
- The condensation water hose must sit securely on the connection on the heating and A/C unit.
-- The valve is located in the lower right of the engine compartment below the plenum chamber bulkhead.
NOTE:
For the purpose of a better illustration, the valve -1- is shown with subframe removed.
The condensation drainage valve may not be bonded by wax or underbody protection, it must close correctly.
-- Raise the vehicle and check the valve -1- from underneath.
