NOTE:
Welding and straightening work on supporting or wheel carrying components of the suspension is not permitted.
Always replace self-locking nuts.
Always replace corroded bolts/nuts.
Bonded rubber bushings have a limited range of motion. Therefore, the threaded connections of the components with bonded rubber bushings should only be tightened when the wheel bearing housing is lifted (curb weight position). Refer to RAISING THE REAR AXLE TO THE CURB WEIGHT POSITION .
- Wheel Bearing
- Removing and installing. Refer to WHEEL BEARING UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .CAUTION:
- Avoid contaminating with dirt and damaging the seal when setting down/storing. Refer to Figure.

- Wheel Hub

- 500 Nm
- Always replace if removed

- Brake Carrier Plate

- Wheel Bearing Housing

- Avoid contaminating with dirt and damaging the seal when setting down/storing. Refer to Figure

- Drive Axle
- Removing and installing. Refer to DRIVE AXLE ASSEMBLY .
- Apply a coat of Assembly Paste:G 052 109 A2 to the splines before assembly
- Rear Speed Sensor
- Bolt
- 8 Nm
- Screws
- 80 Nm + 120°
- Always replace if removed
- Quantity: 4
- Wiring Bracket
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
