B+ Wire With Protector, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Hybrid vehicle high voltage in the high voltage system. Danger of electrocution! Inspect the high voltage components in the area where the work will be performed before starting the procedure. Follow all general warnings. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM GENERAL WARNINGS .

WARNING:

Hybrid vehicle high voltage in the high voltage system. Danger of electrocution! The following procedure requires working on the high voltage system. Disable the high voltage system now.

-- Disable the high voltage system. Refer to DISABLING THE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM .

-- Disconnect the 12V battery under the driver seat. Refer to BATTERY .

-- Remove the high voltage connection cover plate from the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE CONNECTION COVER PLATE ON Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Open the cap on the jump start point and remove the B+ wire nut (20 Nm  ) -6-.

-- Remove the B+ wire underneath from the threaded connector.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows-. Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and then remove the bracket -3- from the engine compartment.

-- Remove both nuts (10 Nm  ) -8- and lift the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics -JX1- slightly upward from the rubber bushings in the bracket in order to access the nut for the B+ wire.

-- Remove the nut -arrow-. Remove the B+ wire with protector -4- from the vehicle.
