Overview - Starter

CAUTION:
Always follow the procedure in the service informationwhen disconnecting the battery. The battery cut-out will be deactivated and damage to the vehicle electrical equipment may occur if the connecting sequence is not followed exactly. Refer to BATTERY .
- Starter
- Removing and installing. Refer to STARTER, 3.0L TSI 213 KW, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AL8, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Checking. Refer to Starter -B-, CHECKING .
- Tightening Specification for the M8 nut, positive cable to solenoid switch - 20 Nm.
- Tightening Specification for the top bolt (18 mm), starter to transmission - 30 Nm + 105° ± 30° additional turn.
- Tightening Specification for the bottom bolt (16 mm), starter to transmission - 15 Nm + 105° ± 30° additional turn.
