CAUTION:

Always follow the procedure in the service informationwhen disconnecting the battery. Failure to follow the sequence can trigger the battery cut-off relay and damage the electrical equipment.

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-, disconnect the 3 connectors -2- and remove the cover -3-.

-- Remove the nut -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -3- (depending on the vehicle equipment level) and wires -4-.

-- Open the latches -arrows- and remove the cover from Fuse Panel D -SD- -1-.

-- Remove the nuts -3- and the Battery Interrupt Igniter -N253- -2-. Be careful of the different wires still connected.

-- Release and disconnect the connector -1- and remove the Battery Interrupt Igniter -N253- -2-.
