Wheel Bearing, Removing

-- Remove the circlip.

-- Mount the tools as illustrated.

Please Note:

Offset of Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - 6:T10205/6  Must Point Toward Rear Final Drive.

  1. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Spindle:T10205/8-1 
  2. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut:T10205/8-2 
  3. Hydraulic Press:VAS6178  with Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit- Adapter 13:T10205/13 
  4. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - 5:T10205/5 
  5. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - 4:T10205/4 
  6. Subframe Bushing Assembly Tool Kit - Thrust Plate:T10356/4  - The letter B must point to the wheel bearing
  7. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut:T10205/8-2 
  8. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Spindle:T10205/8-1 

-- Pull out wheel bearing while holding device securely.

Pulling Bearing Inner Race off Wheel Hub 

-- Install separating tool behind bearing inner race.

NOTE: Beveled Parts of Blades Face Bearing Inner Race.
  1. Puller - Kukko Separating Tool - Diameter 25-155mm:15/3 
  2. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - 2:T10205/2 
  3. Hydraulic Press:VAS6178  with Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit- Adapter 13:T10205/13 
  4. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut:T10205/8-2 
  5. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - 3:T10205/3 
  6. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut:T10205/8-2 
  7. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Spindle:T10205/8-1 
WARNING:

When pulling off, hold tool so that bearing inner race points downward (danger of accident if bearing inner race jumps off at end of pulling process).

-- Pull off wheel hub from bearing inner race.

Wheel Bearing, Pressing In 

-- Make sure that the rubberized ABS sensor ring -arrow- faces the final drive.

If no rubberized ring is visible, check for example with a paper clip, which of the two sides is magnetic. This side must face the final drive when installed.

-- Mount the tools as illustrated. While doing so pay attention to the wheel bearing centering mandrel on the Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece:T10205/7  .

  1. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Spindle:T10205/8-1 
  2. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut:T10205/8-2 
  3. Hydraulic Press:VAS6178  with Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit- Adapter 13:T10205/13 
  4. Wheel Bearing
  5. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Thrust Piece:T10205/7 
  6. Press Piece - Bushing:3259 
  7. Subframe Bushing Assembly Tool Kit Thrust Piece:T10356/8 
  8. Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit - Nut:T10205/8-2 

-- Press wheel bearing in until stop.

-- Install circlip.
