Vehicles With An Air Spring Shock Absorber

-- Activate the vehicle lift mode and place the vehicle on the lifting platform. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .

Continuation for Both Vehicles

-- Remove the noise insulation below the engine/transmission. Refer to REAR FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [For transmission(s) 0C8] .

-- Unscrew the threaded connection -1- from the coupling rod.

Vehicles With V6 TDI Engine

NOTE:

In vehicles with a V6 TDI engine, a damper is installed on the right side.

-- Pry the cap -1- off of the damper -2- and unscrew the securing bolt.

-- Remove the damper -2- from the stabilizer bar clamp.
