SUBFRAME, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note The Following:

Install the driveshaft. Refer to DRIVESHAFT [For transmission(s) 0C8] .

-- Install the subframe using new bolts.

-- Install the universal joint -1- on the steering gear and tighten the bolt -arrow- to the specified torque.

-- If present, bolt the heat shield -1- to the steering gear -2- -arrows-.

-- Remove the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094 -1- from the suction hose at the power steering fluid reservoir -2-.

-- Remove the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094 -1- from the return line.

NOTE:

If the subframe is to be replaced, then the control arms must be replaced.

After installation, a vehicle alignment must then be performed.

-- Install the front wheels and tighten. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Bleed the brake system. Refer to BRAKE SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
