Upper Control Arm, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Steel Spring Shock Absorbers: Removing

-- Loosen the wheel bolts.
-- Raise the vehicle.
-- Remove the wheel.
-- Remove the wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
Vehicles with Automatic Headlamp Range Control
-- Pull the pin -2- for the Left Front Level Control System Sensor -G78- /Right Front Level Control System Sensor -G289- downward and unclip the coupling rod at the upper control arm.
Continuation for All Vehicles
-- Install the Engine/Gearbox Jack Adapter - Wheel Hub Support:T10149 with a wheel bolt.
-- Loosen the nut of the upper control arm, but do not unscrew yet.
CAUTION:
To protect thread, screw nut on pin a few turns.
-- Press out the upper control arm and unscrew the nut.
- Puller - Ball Joint:T10187
-- Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the upper control arm -1-.
