Pressing Off

-- Install the tools on the lower control arm as shown in the figure.

  1. Hydraulic Press:VAS6178  with Bearing Installer - Wheel Hub/Bearing Kit- Adapter 13:T10205/13 
  2. Hydraulic Press - Bushing Assembly Tool Kit - Thrust Piece:T10230/7 
  3. Hydraulic Press - Bushing Assembly Tool Kit - Tube:T10230/9 
  4. Lower Control Arm
  5. Hydraulic Press - Bushing Assembly Tool Kit - Thrust Piece:T10230/15 
  6. Hydraulic Press - Bushing Assembly Tool Kit - Spindle:T10230/1  and Hydraulic Press - Bushing Assembly Tool Kit - Nut: T10230/2 
CAUTION:
  • Before pressing out, place the Engine and Gearbox Jack:VAS6931  with the universal mount under the cylinder since the cylinder may fall down at the end of the pressing out procedure.
  • Hold the Hydraulic Press:VAS6178  firmly while pressing out.

-- Press out the bonded rubber bushing.
