Air Spring Shock Absorber

-- Before loosening the air line when installed, check whether the air spring is still filled with a residual pressure of approximately 3 bar (43.5 psi).
-- To do so push the air spring bead with thumbs. The bead must demonstrate noticeable resistance.
-- If significant resistance is not noticed, the air spring is not pressurized.
-- The vehicle can be driven up to 100 km (62 miles) with a depressurized air spring.
-- The air spring must be replaced together with the pressure-holding valve when the vehicle is driven more than 100 km (62 miles) with a depressurized air spring.
- Thoroughly clean connecting points and their surrounding areas before loosening.
- Place removed parts on a clean surface and cover them so that they do not get dirty. Use foil and paper. Only use lint-free cloths!
- Install only clean parts: remove the replacement parts from their packaging just before installing them.
- Only use lubricants indicated by part number.
- Carefully cover or seal opened components if the repair will not be done immediately.
