Procedure
When using the high pressure line again, pay attention to the cylinder marking.
The high pressure lines can be reused only after the following checks:
Check the sealing cone on each high pressure line for deformation and cracks.
The bores for the lines must not be deformed, narrowed or damaged.
Do not use corroded lines again.
-- Remove any dirt from the sealing cone on the rail.
-- Clean the fuel line and line connection with detergent and dry it with compressed air.
-- Coat the threads on the union nut with fuel.
-- Tighten the high pressure line union nuts by hand, making sure they are seated without tension.
- Tightening specifications 28 Nm
-- To tighten the high pressure lines, use the following tools depending on the width across flats:
Tightening the High Pressure Lines on the High Pressure Reservoir with a 14 mm Wrench.
Tightening the High Pressure Lines on the High Pressure Reservoir with a 17 mm Wrench.
Tightening the High Pressure Lines on the High Pressure Reservoir with a 19 mm Wrench.
-- Perform a leak test on the fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
