Installing

NOTE:

Check for damage to the sealing surfaces and threads on the Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- . If the Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- is OK, is it possible to re-use it.

Check the sealing surface on the high pressure reservoir opening.

Coat the Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- threads and biting edge with diesel fuel.

-- Tighten the Fuel Pressure Sensor -G247- by hand.

-- Tighten the sensor to the predetermined tightening specification. Refer to -item  ) OVERVIEW - FUEL SYSTEM - FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR -G247- .

-- After installing, let the engine run at a moderate speed for a few minutes and then stop it.

-- Check fuel system for leaks.

-- Check the DTC memory. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Perform a road test where the accelerator pedal is pressed all the way down at least one time. Then check the high pressure area again for leaks.

-- Check the DTC memory. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
