Turbocharger, Removing And Installing: Notes

Engine Bung Set:VAS6122

CAUTION:

This procedure contains mandatory replaceable parts. Refer to component overview prior to starting procedure.

Mandatory Replacement Parts

O-rings - Oil supply line
O-ring - Oil Return Line Upper Section to Oil Return Line Lower Section
Nuts - Pre-Catalytic converter to turbocharger
Bolts - Turbocharger
Gasket - Pre-Catalytic converter to turbocharger

NOTE:

Hose connections are secured by clamps and retaining clips.

Charge air system must be properly sealed.

Replace the self-locking nuts.

After installing turbocharger, let engine run at idle for approximately 1 minute and without increasing engine speed. This ensures that charger is lubricated.
