Piston, Installing: Procedure

-- Before installing piston, remove fitting sleeve -arrow- from bore.

-- Pistons for cylinders 1, 3 and 5 must be installed so that the deep valve recesses -1- point toward center of cylinder block and arrows -3- point toward vibration damper.

-- Pistons for cylinders 2, 4 and 6 must be installed so that the deep valve recesses -2- point toward center of cylinder block and arrows -3- point toward vibration damper.

-- Slide the correct piston for each cylinder into the : T10333  from above until the short side of the piston -arrow- extends approximately 15 mm out of the lower edge of the installation tool.

-- Now place pistons with tool in appropriate cylinder bore. The high side of the piston installation tool -arrow- must face toward center of cylinder block.

-- Place funnel securely on cylinder block and slide piston completely into cylinder bore.

-- After pistons have been mounted, place fitting sleeve -arrow- back in bore.
