Checking The Piston Ring Gap

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

Test Sequence 

-- Push ring squarely from above down to approximately 15 mm from bottom end of cylinder. To do this use a piston without rings.

    New Wear limit
Flat Ring mm 0.20 to 0.40 1.0
Tapered ring mm 0.20 to 0.40 1.0
Oil scraping ring mm 0.25 to 0.50 1.0
