Overview - Ribbed Belt Drive

Ribbed Belt
- Check for wear
- Before removing, mark direction of rotation using chalk or felt-tip marker
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Do not kink
- When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the ribbed belt pulleys
Bolt
- 20 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Replace
Vibration Damper
- With dual ribbed belt pulley
- Removing and installing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side
- Replace. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
Bolt
- Tightening specification -item 2) OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP/THERMOSTAT .
Coolant Pump Ribbed Belt Pulley
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Coolant Pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to COOLANT PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specification -item 1) OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP/THERMOSTAT .
Ribbed Belt Tensioner
- Tighten the bolt to 40 Nm.
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
