Right Timing Chain Cover

-- Apply the sealant bead to the clean sealing surfaces on the right timing chain cover as illustrated.

-- Install the seal -2-.

-- Apply a sealant bead with a 3 mm diameter to the transitions between the cylinder head and lower timing chain cover -arrows- as illustrated.

CAUTION:

The lubrication system could be plugged with excess sealant.

  • Do not apply sealant bead thicker than specified.

-- Install the right timing chain guard and tighten the bolts as follows.

Step Bolts Tightening Specification
1. -1- 3 Nm
2. -2- 9 Nm
3. -1- 9 Nm
4. -3- 9 Nm diagonally

Install in reverse order of removal.
