Crankshaft Seal, Timing Chain Side, Replacing: Procedure

- Engine or transmission removed.
-- Remove drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Pry out the seal using the Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal:T20143/2 .
-- Make an 8 mm hole -arrow 2- in the Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10122/2 for the alignment sleeve.
-- Use the hole -arrow 1- in the washer as a template when drilling.
-- Clean the running and sealing surfaces.
-- Position Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10122/1 on Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10122/2 and slide seal -A- onto pull sleeve.
-- Remove the guide sleeve.
-- Position the pull sleeve with the seal on the crankshaft.
-- Press in sealing ring all around evenly and flush using Seal Installer - Crankshaft:T10122/3 .
-- Install drive plate. Refer to DRIVE PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
