-- Attach the dial gauge to the Dial Gauge Holder:VW387 to the cylinder block and set indicator against crankshaft counterweight.

-- Press crankshaft against dial indicator by hand, set indicator to "0".

-- Press crankshaft off dial indicator and read the value:

Axial play new: 0.090 to 0.215 mm.
Axial play wear limit: 0.280 mm.
