Engine Coolant System, Draining, High Temperature Circuit

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

-- Drain the coolant for the high temperature coolant circuit. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING, HIGH TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT .

-- Close the coolant reservoir.

-- Remove the left front wheel. .

-- Remove the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

Drain the Engine Coolant Pipes

-- Open the clamps and remove the coolant hoses -A and B-.

-- Attach a hose -2- to the line -B- to lengthen it and place the one end in the Shop Crane - Drip Tray: VAS6208  .

-- Apply maximum 1 bar (14.5 psi) compress air across the line -A- using a compressed air gun -1- until the circuit is completely empty.

Drain the Heater Coolant Pipes

-- Attach a hose -1- to the line -A- to lengthen it and place the one end in the Shop Crane - Drip Tray: VAS6208  .

-- Apply maximum 1 bar (14.5 psi) compress air across the line -B- using a compressed air gun -2- until the circuit is completely empty.

-- Connect the coolant hoses and the clamps.
