Coolant Thermostat, Removing And Installing: Installing

Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP/THERMOSTAT .

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Replace the seals.

When installing the coolant thermostat, make sure that the thermostat needle is installed correctly (conical end is inserted in the coolant thermostat wax thermostatic element). If necessary, push the thermostat needle all the way into the wax thermostatic element.

-- Install front coolant pipe. Refer to FRONT COOLANT PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the compressor. Refer to SUPERCHARGER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill with coolant for the high temperature coolant circuit. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING, HIGH TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT .
