Coolant Pipes For Low Temperature Coolant Circuit, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the engine compartment cover. Refer to ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the front engine cover -1- upward.
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.
- The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
- Cover the coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and then open it slowly to release the pressure.
-- Drain the coolant for the low temperature coolant circuit. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING, LOW TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT .
-- Disconnect the coolant hoses -arrows- and remove the upper coolant hose -1- from the brackets.
-- Remove the bolts for the coolant pipes -1 through 3-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and remove the cover plate for the high voltage connection -A-.
-- Open the retainers for both quick-release couplings -arrows- and remove the coolant lines in direction of -arrow-.
-- Loosen the vacuum pipe -1- from the bracket. Remove the bolt -2- and remove the coolant hoses -arrows-.
-- Remove the coolant pipes with the hoses downward.
