Compressor Coolant Pipes, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the engine compartment cover. Refer to ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front engine cover -1- upward.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .

WARNING:

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

  • The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
  • Cover the coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and then open it slowly to release the pressure.

-- Open the coolant reservoir cap.

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip Tray:VAS6208  under engine.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -arrows-, clamp off the coolant hoses with the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm:3094  and remove them from the coolant pipes on the supercharger.

NOTE:

Ignore -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and the coolant pipes.
