Bench Seats, Removing And Installing: Removing
Risk of injury due to sharp-edged metal plates when removing the bench seats. Wear safety gloves.
- Both bench seats are in the rearmost seat position.
The 1/3 bench seat is attached to the 1/3 rear bench seat in the front section with a two-section wire frame.
The 2/3 bench seat is attached to the 2/3 rear bench seat in the front section with a three-section wire frame.
The respective wire frames are a component of the corresponding bench seat.
The wire frames are clipped above the mounting grommets in the bench seat.
To remove the bench seats, the mounting grommets must be released using the :T40207 .
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Engage the :T40207 -3- into the slot -4- for the mounting grommet -2- on the bottom of the bench seat.
-- Pull the :T40207 -3- slightly forward in the direction of travel and release the mounting grommet -2-.
-- Pull the bench seat slightly upward until the wire frame -1- releases the mounting grommet -2-.
-- Unclip the wire frame from the remaining mounting grommets as described.
-- Tilt the wire frame -5- on the 2/3 section of the bench seat -1- upward out of the mounting grommets -2, 3 and 4-.
-- Depending on the vehicle equipment, disconnect any connectors.
-- Detach the rear of the 2/3 section of the bench seat and remove it from the vehicle.
-- The 1/3 section of the bench seat -6- is removed the same way.
