Seat Height Adjustment Motor, Removing And Installing: Installing

WARNING:

-- Clean the threaded bolt holes for self-locking nuts, for example using a thread tap.

-- Replace all self-locking bolts.

-- Tighten the adjusting spindle -1- for the seat angle adjustment motor (preset by the manufacturer) with the bolt -2-.

-- Do not damage bushing -1- when inserting the bolt.

CAUTION:

If tension is not released when loosening or tightening the threaded connection between the adjusting spindle and the seat pan, the threaded hole in the seat pan will be damaged or destroyed.

-- Do not damage the bushing -3- when inserting the bolt -2-.

CAUTION:
  • The bushings cannot be replaced with workshop materials.
  • If the bushings are damaged, replace the corresponding components.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

NOTE:

Make sure the connectors are installed correctly and are secure.

WARNING:

Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone inside the vehicle when connecting the battery.

-- Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Refer to BATTERY .

NOTE:

If the Airbag Indicator Lamp -K75- indicates a fault, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
