Airbag Control Module -J234-, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the trim from the shift mechanism. Refer to GEARSHIFT MECHANISM TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to BATTERY .

-- Release the auxiliary locking mechanism -4- in the direction of the -arrow- and press the button -3-.

-- Open the lever -2- and remove the connector -5-.

-- Remove the cap nut -1- (quantity: 3) (9 Nm ).

-- Remove the control module from the vehicle.
