Overview - Fuel Tank With Attachments: Notes

CAUTION:

During all repair procedures on the fuel tank, be aware of the following: 

  • Route lines of all types (for example, for fuel, hydraulic, Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system, coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid, vacuum) and electrical wiring so that the original routing is followed.
  • Make sure that the Ground (GND) wire between the fuel filler tube and body is securely fastened, to prevent electrostatic charging.
  • Ensure sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.

  1. Fuel Filler Tube
    • Tighten to the body to 10 Nm
    • With a connection for the GND wire to the body
    • Make sure it is secure
  2. Breather Line
    • From the fuel tank
    • To the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister
  3. Breather Line
    • From the EVAP Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 -N80-
    • To the EVAP canister
  4. Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-
  5. Fuel Tank
  6. Locking Ring
    • 145 Nm
    • Remove and install with the :T10202 
    • Make sure it is secure
  7. Fuel Filter
  8. Heat Shield
  9. Mounting Strap
    • Note the installation position
    • Make sure it is secure
  10. Bolt
    • 33 Nm
  11. Protective Cover
    • For the bottom of the fuel tank
  12. Line Coupling
    • To loosen, squeeze the button the line coupling
  13. Fuel Delivery Unit
