Power Steering Pump, Removing And Installing, 8-Cylinder Gasoline And Diesel Engine: Removing
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
-- Remove the left engine support. Refer to appropriate service information. .
-- Remove the left catalytic converter. Refer to PRE-CATALYTIC CONVERTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING[For engine(s) CATA] .
-- Loosen the clamp -1- and remove the intake hose -2- from the power steering pump.
-- Unscrew the bolts -3- and remove the pressure line -4- from the power steering pump.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
For Vehicles with an 8-Cylinder Diesel Engine Only
-- Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the bracket -1-.
If necessary, then remove the bolts with a commercially available angled multi-socket key.
Continuation For All Vehicles
-- Unscrew the bolt -arrow- beneath the power steering pump.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- for the power steering pump.
-- Remove the power steering pump from the engine.
-- If necessary, remove the power steering pump input shaft -arrow- from the engine by hand.
-- Replace the seal -arrow-.
