Brake Caliper, Removing And Installing: Installing: Notes

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required

Torque Wrench 1410:VAG1410
Torque Wrench 80-400Nm:VAG1576
Brake Pedal Actuator:VAG1869/2 .

-- Bolt brake caliper onto wheel bearing housing.

-- Install the brake pads.

-- Install brake line on brake caliper.

-- Install bracket -item ) OVERVIEW - FRONT BRAKES, BREMBO 17" - :Lower Bracket to wheel bearing housing.

-- Remove the Brake Pedal Actuator:VAG1869/2 .

-- Bleed the brake system. Refer to BRAKE SYSTEM, BLEEDING .

-- Install the wheels.

Wheel bolt tightening specifications. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

NOTE:

Before moving the vehicle, press the brake pedal firmly several times to seat the brake pads correctly in their operating position.

Check Brake Fluid Level.

Torque Wrench 80-400Nm:VAG1576
Brake Pedal Actuator:VAG1869/2 .

-- Install the brake pads. Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Bolt brake caliper onto wheel bearing housing.

-- Install the brake hose on the brake caliper.

-- Carefully install brake pad wear indicator wire contact sensor in new brake pads.

-- Install the brake pad wear display wire below the tabs of the retaining spring and in the clip.
