Brake Pedal, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the footwell cover. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

-- Remove the instrument panel side covers. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

Remove the driver side instrument panel left trim. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

Remove the driver side instrument panel right trim. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .

-- Remove the knee airbag. Refer to AIRBAG .

-- Remove the vehicle electrical system control module. Refer to CONTROL MODULES .

-- Remove the accelerator pedal.

-- Remove the impact wedge -1- from the mounting bracket -2- by removing the bolts -arrows-.

-- Disconnect the brake pedal -3- from the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, REMOVING FROM BRAKE BOOSTER .

-- Remove the securing cotter pin -arrow- from the mounting pin -1-.

-- Remove the mounting pin -1- from the mounting bracket.

-- Remove the brake pedal.
