Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100-, Adjusting

-- Remove the footwell cover. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Remove the instrument panel side covers. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Remove the driver side instrument panel left trim. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Remove the driver side instrument panel right trim. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

-- Remove the Comfort System Central Control Module -J393- with the bracket. Refer to CONTROL MODULES .

The bracket of the Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100- has guide ribs -A- for adjusting and the mounting bracket has slits -B-, which allows for it to be slid sideways. This prevents any turning.

-- Loosen the bolts -2- until the bracket -1- with the Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100- -3- can be moved back and forth in direction of -arrow-.

-- Adjust the dimension -A- a minimum of 4 mm to a maximum of 5mm between the Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100- -3- and the magnet -4-.

-- Tighten the bolts -2- again.

-- Loosen the bolt -4- from the magnet bracket -3- until the magnet bracket -3- can be pushed as close as possible against the brake pedal -1- in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Press the stop flap -1- of the bracket -2- downward in direction of -arrow- (image half I), until both retaining tabs of the stop flap -1- engage on the edge of the bracket -2- (image half II).

-- Press the magnet bracket -1- lightly in direction of -arrow- against the engaged stop flap -2-.

Both engaged retaining tabs -3- can be seen in the illustration.

-- Tighten the bolt for the magnet bracket -4-.

-- Push the stop flap -1- in direction of -arrow- until the stop flap engages on the bracket -2- on the opposite side.

-- Install the Comfort System Central Control Module -J393- with the bracket. Refer to CONTROL MODULES .

Install the driver side instrument panel right trim. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Install the driver side instrument panel left trim. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Install the instrument panel side covers. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

-- Install the footwell cover. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .
