Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100-, Adjusting, RHD Vehicles

-- Remove the footwell cover. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Remove the instrument panel side covers. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Remove the driver side instrument panel left trim. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

Remove the driver side instrument panel right trim. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

-- Remove the Comfort System Central Control Module -J393- with the bracket. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENTS, COVERS AND TRIM .

The bracket -1- of the Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100- has two guides -A- at the top, a guide rib -B- at the bottom and the mounting bracket has a slit -C-, which allows for it to be slid sideways. This prevents any turning.

-- Loosen the bolt -4- until the bracket -3- with the Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100- -2- can be moved back and forth in the -direction of the arrow-.

-- Adjust the dimension -A- a minimum of 4 mm to a maximum of 5mm between the Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100- -2- and the magnet -1-.

-- Re-tighten the bolt -4-.

-- Loosen the bolt -1- from the magnet bracket -2- until the magnet bracket -2- can be pushed as close as possible against the brake pedal -3- in the -direction of the arrow A-.

-- Unclip the stop flap -1- from the bracket -2- in the -direction of the arrow A- (upper image half).

-- Then position the stop flap sideways on the top of the bracket and clip it in the -direction of the arrow B- between the stops -C- (lower image half).

-- Press the magnet bracket -2- lightly in the -direction of the arrow- against the engaged stop flap -1-.

-- Tighten the bolt for the magnet bracket -3-.

-- Unclip the stop flap -1- from the bracket -2- in the -direction of the arrow A-.

-- Then position the stop flap -1- on the bracket -2- and clip it in again in the -direction of the arrow B-.
