General Information
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Volkswagen Touareg, 2013 Volkswagen Touareg, 2012 Volkswagen Touareg, and 2011 Volkswagen Touareg. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
It may be necessary to calibrate the peripheral camera system components after servicing the vehicle. This may be the case if:
- One camera was replaced
- Replace the peripheral camera system control module (calibrate all cameras)
- After repairing components, in which the cameras are installed
- When adjusting the overlap range of the individual cameras
- After the standing height of one axle changes by more than 5 mm
- After the standing height of the entire vehicle changes by more than 10 mm
NOTE:
When driving over a marking (for example, markings in a parking lot) in the overlap range of the camera, the lines may look offset when checking the camera.
The offset may appear larger or smaller depending on the actual vehicle load, the shaking movements and the condition of the vehicle suspension.
NOTE:
Pay attention to the calibration requirements. Refer to REQUIREMENTS FOR CALIBRATING .
