Lock Carrier With Attachments, Removing And Installing: Removing

NOTE:

The lock carrier is a safety-related component. For this reason it cannot be serviced.

If damaged, replace the lock carrier.

Information regarding the distance regulation control modules -5-. Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL and ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL .

-- Move the lock carrier into its service position. Refer to SERVICE POSITION, PERFORMING .

-- Disconnect any harness connectors.

-- Drain the coolant and disconnect the coolant lines. Refer to COOLANT .

-- Disconnect the condenser lines. Refer to COOLANT [For engine(s) CGFA, CATA, CGRA] .

-- Together with a second technician, remove the Guide Pins:T10093  on the left and right longitudinal members -2- and remove the lock carrier -1-.

To disconnect the lock carrier -1- from the crossmember -4-, unscrew the bolts -3-.

WARNING:

Do not start the engine whenever the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.

NOTE:

Never hang the condenser and the hydraulic fluid cooler on the lines.

Never bend the condenser lines or the hydraulic fluid lines.
