Glove Compartment, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Remove the instrument panel side cover on the front passenger side. Refer to SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVERS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the footwell cover on the front passenger side. Refer to FOOTWELL COVERS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- If equipped, remove Information Electronics Control Module 1 -J794- inside the glove compartment. Refer to RADIO/NAVIGATION SYSTEM "RNS 850" Information Electronics Control Module 1.

-- Remove the Glove Compartment Lamp -W6- and Glove Compartment Lamp Switch -E26-. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL LAMPS AND SWITCHES .

-- Open the glove compartment and remove the 6 bolts -arrows- (1.5 Nm  ).

-- Detach the glove compartment from the instrument panel.

-- If equipped, unclip the External Audio Source Connection -R199-.

-- In vehicles with a front passenger airbag shut-off, disconnect the connector from the Front Passenger Airbag Deactivation Key Switch -E224-.

-- In vehicles with glove compartment cooling, remove the A/C channel from the glove compartment.
