Center Console, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn off the ignition.

-- Remove the trim from the shift mechanism. Refer to GEARSHIFT MECHANISM TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the storage compartment/ashtray. Refer to STORAGE COMPARTMENT/ASHTRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- and Climatronic Control Module -J255-. Refer to DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD .

-- Remove the rear vents. Refer to AIR GUIDE .

-- Remove the rear trim from the center console. Refer to CENTER CONSOLE REAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the 2 screws -1- on the left side next to the selector mechanism (1.5 Nm ).

-- Remove the 2 screws on the opposite side (1.5 Nm ).

-- Fold up the armrests, the lining mat -1- and the cover -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -3- (8 Nm ).

-- Remove the two screws -1- (1.5 Nm ).

-- In vehicles with a 4-zone A/C system, remove the rear air vent adapter AIR GUIDE [For engine(s) CGFA, CATA, CGRA] .

-- Disconnect the connectors and lift the back of the center console.

-- Remove the center console from the vehicle.
