Selector Lever Cable, Removing And Installing, Vehicles Through 05/2012: Removing

-- Remove the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Press the boot -arrow- forward out of the shift unit.

The removal of the selector lever cable only requires lowering the transfer case.

-- Lower the transfer case. Refer to TRANSFER CASE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the selector lever cable from the ball head -1- using the :80-200 and remove the lock washer -3-.

NOTE:

A removed lock washer may not be used again. Always replace the lock washer.

Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.
