Emergency Release From >>P<<, Vehicles Through 04/2010: Procedure

-- Open the storage compartment/ashtray.

-- Unclip the trim in the front center console in direction of -arrows-.

-- Lift the trim just enough to make the emergency release accessible. It is not necessary to disconnect the electrical harness connectors.

-- Move the emergency release lever up with a finger or a screwdriver -arrow- while pressing the push button on the handle and shifting the selector lever out of "P".

-- The trim can now be reinstalled in the center console.

NOTE:

Prior to installation of the trim, check that all electrical harness connectors are connected.
