Flange/Driveshaft Seal On Rear Final Drive, Replacing (Final Drive Removed), Final Drive 0BN: Installing

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease:G 052 128 A1 .

-- Cover the splines on the stub shaft with adhesive tape.

-- Install the new seal into the seal seat on the final drive.

-- Install the seal all the way using the Seal Installer - Shaft Seal:T10432 . Be careful not to tilt it.

-- Remove the adhesive tape.

-- Install the new dust cap using the Seal Installer - Shaft Seal - Thrust Piece:T10432/1 .

-- Install the new O-ring and circlip.

-- Install the rear final drive. Refer to REAR FINAL DRIVE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the transmission fluid level in the rear final drive. Refer to REAR FINAL DRIVE, CHECKING TRANSMISSION FLUID .
