Front Driveshaft, Removing And Installing, Driveshaft With Joint On Both Sides: Removing

-- Lift the vehicle.
-- Remove the noise insulation and bracket under the transmission. Refer to NOISE INSULATION .
-- Remove the front muffler or the particulate filter depending on the type of engine. .
-- Mark the installed position of the driveshaft on the transfer case and front final drive.
-- Use a pry lever -1- to remove the drive axle from the front final drive -2- in direction of -arrow-. To do this, position the pry lever on the push-on connector -3-.
CAUTION:
Danger of causing damage to the driveshaft.
- The pry lever -1- must be mounted on the push-on connector -3- in order to remove the driveshaft from the front final drive -2-.
- The pry lever -1- will get damaged if is touching the boot. Then it will necessary to remove the driveshaft.
NOTE:
A circlip secures the driveshaft to the pin and can be pulled off with a forceful pull.
-- Guide the driveshaft downward and remove it.
