Input Shaft Seal, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the new shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease :G 052 128 A1  .

-- Install the new shaft seal all the way using the Seal Installer - Input Shaft :T10448  . Be careful not to tilt it.

-- Install the transfer case. Refer to TRANSFER CASE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the transmission fluid level in the transfer case. Refer to TRANSFER CASE, CHECKING TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL .
